The Western Bay of Plenty stretches from Waihi Beach to Otamarakau, covering 212,000 hectares of coastal, rural and urban areas.
The works for this tender is for the design and construction of improvements to the existing Pump Station 1. Including the final commissioning and handover, preparation of as-builts and operation manuals, for use at Waihi District Drainage Society (WDDS) site at 220 Wharere Road, Pongakawa. All to be completed by 31 March 2019.
Pump Station 1 is sited within the designated work site at 220 Wharere Road. It services properties within the drainage scheme managed by the Waihi District Drainage Society (WDDS). Water is pumped from the lower level farm drainage canal to the existing Wharere higher level canal that discharges into the Waihi Estuary near Pukehina.
The Pump Station improvements will be undertaken at the existing pump station and shall not interfere with the operation of the drainage network. The improvements provided will allow for further continued use of the pump station.
