Overview

The Western Bay of Plenty stretches from Waihi Beach to Otamarakau, covering 212,000 hectares of coastal, rural and urban areas.
It is a growth area of New Zealand, with a population of about 46,000 people. The main urban centres include Waihi Beach, Katikati, Omokoroa, Te Puna, Te Puke and Maketu.

The works for this tender is located at three sites in the Western Zone of the Western Bay of Plenty District and consists of the construction of new water reticulation assets and connection to existing mains.

Site 1
The supply and installation of new water mains at Waihi Beach along the following roads, Beach Road and Browns Drive. Pipe sizes and approximate quantities are 300 metres of 180 OD, PE 100, PN 12.5 and 115 metres of 125 OD, PE 100, PN 12.5
Site 2
Lund Road Stream Crossing. Install 60 metres of 250 OD, PE 100, PN 12.5 on WBOPDC’s cross-country water main to replace a section of 200AC.
Site 3
State Highway 2. Bridge Water Main Renewals. Waitekohe Bridge: 25 metres Concrete Lined Steel (CLS) 177.3 OD. Tuapo Bridge: 8.5 metres CLS 177.3 OD.
The works also include establishment, installation of valves, hydrants, service connections, disinfecting, commissioning and reinstatement at all 3 sites.
