Overview

Scope and Intent
This specification sets out the intent, location, extent and general requirements for the maintenance of specified areas controlled by the Western Bay of Plenty District Council (WBOPDC).
This is a performance based Contract and the Contractor shall initiate the work to ensure that the cyclic maintenance and repair standards are met at all times. Monitoring of performance will be managed under a joint audit regime between the principals’ (WBoPDC) representative and the Contractor.

Extent of Works
The work is packaged to make the Contractor responsible for the overall care and responsibility of the WBOPDC reserves and facilities, within the contract area. The contract includes all parks, play grounds, roads, sealed/unsealed pavements, carparks, walkways, cycle ways, sports fields, tennis/netball courts, utility depots, elderly housing, cemeteries, toilets and other various Council owned properties throughout the Western Bay of Plenty district.
The contract works is for the maintenance of the sites defined above and shown in the Appendices. Upgrades and capital works do not usually form part of the contract works.
A Table of the sites and maps indicating the location of each reserve or Council facility is attached in the Appendices.

Evaluation and Acceptance of Tender
The methodology for selecting an appropriate contractor will be a Modified Weighted Attributes (three stage) selection process.

It is intended that the Contract will be awarded by Friday, 22 June 2018, with the contract commencing Saturday, 1 September 2018.
