CONTRACT 24/86 District Rural Drain Maintenance 2025-28

We are pleased to advise that the Waimakariri District Council has accepted the tender from
Grounds & Services Ltd with a tender price of $2,864,788.35 for the above contract.

The Contract was awarded on 15 September 2025, and the scope of the contract is for:

The maintenance of Rural Drains within the Waimakariri District.

The contract will commence on 1 November 2025, with the initial term due to expire on 31
October 2028. This Contract also includes two optional extensions of one year each.

Five conforming tenders, ranging in price from $3,891,579.48 to $6,986,393.00 were received for
this contract, following an open tender process

Following the tender evaluation, direct negotiations were undertaken with the preferred tenderer,
resulting in a negotiated contract price of $2,864,788.35 over three years, excluding GST, to align
with the available budget.
