Overview

Waimakariri District Council currently employs two people in dedicated cyber security roles. The organisation primarily focuses on Microsoft technologies to provide protection and monitoring of its environment.
To improve this service, we are looking to work with a partner who can compliment our current staff and provide an escalation point for issues that our internal staff need help with. We are also looking at providing extended monitoring of our environment for cyber security issues outside our current work hours.
We also would like a partner that we can work with to assist with configuring and installing new technologies in our environment as we work though our cyber security strategy.
We have reviewed our incident response procedures and have identified that we need a partner to call on in the event of an incident that our internal staff are not able to handle. This may mean that we require expert level forensic and technical support in the event of an incident and the ability to call on prioritised support.

We require information on the services that you can offer that match our requirements.
We also require information on the incident response service that you can provide and the priority that you will provide to us in the event of a categorised incident and in the event of an event that has wider community impacts.
We also require indicative pricing guidelines. This does not need to be a complete quote as currently we are gathering information on the scale and cost of these services.

We are not at this stage requesting quotes or proposals, but we are seeking to improve our knowledge on what services are available and the quantum of the costs involved.
