This closed Request For Tender process follows the earlier Expression of Interest (RFX31268685) published by the University of Auckland.
Service providers intending to respond are to email a "Respondents Undertaking and Confirmation of Intention to Lodge Tender" (provided as Attachment B) by 1pm, Thursday, 15 May.
A site visit will be held on Wednesday, 22 May at 12:30pm - until approx. 5pm. Location details will be emailed to service providers who have sent the Intention to Lodge.
For cleaning purposes, the University buildings have been separated into two categories – Division 1 and Division 2. The Division 1 buildings covered by this RFT are generally (but not exclusively) in the northern half of the City Campus, north of Wellesley St East. Division 1 comprises a diverse range of buildings, with each building having its own access requirements and cleaning requirements. It should noted that not all buildings contained within the tender will necessarily end up within the Division 1 Contract. The University is reviewing the allocation of buildings between Division 1 and Division 2 cleaning contracts and may make changes to better balance the distribution of services.
The University campuses are seeking standardisation in consumables procurement (general and ablution cleaning) and consumable hardware (sanitary and hygiene equipment). The scale of Division 1 cleaning is spread across around 68 buildings with 234,000m2 of floor area (excluding parking areas) and associated grounds.
Successful service providers will have capacity, depth of experience, and a proven track-record for providing Cleaning Services to large complex organisations with diverse building types and occupancy across a number of locations. The spaces themselves comprise many different facility types, which include common, circulation, teaching, lecture theatres, workshops, laboratories, clinics, offices, libraries and study.
The University considers a stable, consistent team of cleaners to be an essential element of the contract and are looking for a high staff retention rate and consistency of service delivery.
