It is expected that the instrument is robust and tolerate a high level of usage.
The new instrument will have multiple ion source options, is expected to have excellent sensitivity, and have the ability to select for desired ions and be operated in a number of scan modes, maximising the possible analysis applications. Ion mobility analysis is a highly desirable feature, but not mandatory.

Closing Date of RFP - Friday 02/10/ 2026 @1300 NZT.

As part of this a Signage Manual is being developed to be followed across the University. The current version of that Signage Manual is included in this RFT as Document E. Currently the University engages one of two preferred suppliers to design, produce and install internal and external signs, however there are no long-term agreements in place.

This procurement exercise is to source a panel of 2-3 suppliers who are able to meet the University signage requirements in accordance with the Signage Manual. Key signage areas included and excluded are described in Document A RFT Instructions to Respondents.

Qualifying questions for prospective suppliers are included in Document B Intention to Lodge.

Service providers intending to respond are to email a completed Document B Intention to Lodge document to psprocurement@auckland.ac.nz by1pm, Wednesday 26th August.
An onsite University presentation and brief site visit will be held on Wednesday, 2nd September commencing at 2pm. Location details will be emailed to service providers who have sent the Intention to Lodge.
RFT responses are to be submitted by 1pm, Friday 25th September.

Respondents are required to provide relevant examples of delivering internal and external signage for similar organisations, along with referee contacts from organisations where signage has been implemented.

Attachments to the RFT include: Document A - RFT Instructions for Respondents; Document B - RFT Intention to Lodge; Document C - RFT Response Form; Document D - Provision of Interior and Exterior Signage Agreement (draft), Document E University of Auckland Signage Manual - Version 1.
