The University is investigating the possibility of providing an enterprise-level booking and billing solution to its core research facilities.
There are several research platforms (or core facilities) across the University which provide key capability to support research outcomes. The capability can vary from self-use instrument time to specialist workflows and technical support for complex research projects. These platforms need consistent management through a booking and billing solution, which can reduce operational and administrative burden and also support improved understanding of performance through usage and revenue reporting. Increased discoverability and accessibility for researchers and other users are also important drivers.
