The Biomedical Imagining Research Unit within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences requires an automated slide-scanner capable of imaging tissue sections in both brightfield and polarised light mode. The slide-scanner should be equipped with a slide-loader to allow high throughput. Other transmitted light modes would be an advantage and if funds allow, fluorescence imaging capability will be included in the proposal. Software should be easy to use for a trained user and it should be possible to export images into standard formats suitable for a wide range of image processing software including open source.

We do not want a system that does not provide polarised light microscopy capability. A slide-loader is also required
