The University of Auckland's Photon Factory requires a femtosecond laser system that when coupled to a micro-machining station, needs to be able to deliver high energy (> 1 mJ) short pulses (from < 600 fs to > few ps) at various repetition rates (from single shot to > 100 kHz) to perform micro-machining experiments on various media.
