The University of Auckland has undertaken a review of its ID Card technology and is seeking potential suppliers to participate in a Pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) to determine interest and capabilities in providing a fully integrated One Card (campus card) solution to the University of Auckland.
The vision is to create a secure, modern campus card solution that is capable of providing access to all campus spaces and services, improving service delivery and increasing security on campus. An integrated card ecosystem that supports multiple credentials-a smartcard in the first instance- will allow the University to accurately and easily identify affiliates, swiftly enabling access to spaces and services they are entitled to.
A card management platform should support the campus card solution through integration and modular functionality which can be enabled iteratively over time allowing The University of Auckland to choose when particular functionality is deployed to customers.
Transaction and micropayment functionality will be incorporated into the campus card solution for unified commerce on and off campus allowing staff and students to interact with the University more easily and benefit from a wide range of services available to them all through one campus card.
