TVNZ is preparing to approach the market for the supply of a Cloud based Playout solution. Initially, the solution will be deployed for Disaster Recovery (DR) purposes, with the intent to expand to main channel delivery (subject to acceptable project, financial and other conditions being met). Our current on-premises DR solution is nearing end-of-life. The DR deployment will serve as a Proof of Concept (POC) to evaluate functional capabilities and actual consumption costs, guiding the future replacement of the main solution.
Opportunity Overview (subject to change in Rfx): TVNZ is seeking companies with proven expertise in delivering live linear playout for channels that cater to national-scale audiences. The solution must meet rigorous demands for managing live news and sports, which require continual schedule updates, and must include multiple levels of resilience to ensure reliable delivery.
TVNZ expects to issue an Expression of Interest (EOI) during May 2025 (indicative).
