TVNZ requires a Cloud-based Playout System and Related Services (“Solution”) suitable for main playout.
Initial deployment will be restricted to our Disaster Recovery environment replacing an on-premises solution installed in 2013. The DR application will be used as a Proof of Concept (POC) to evaluate functional fit and assess the true running costs of the Solution. Based on the results of the POC, and other factors, TVNZ will decide if it wishes to continue the implementation of the rest of the Solution (not planned before 2027), modify the Solution, restrain the application to DR purposes or cease using the Solution in its entirety. Options for modifying the Solution include hybrid cloud/on-premises applications.
This is a 2 step procurement process. This open Registration of Interest (ROI) will be followed by a closed RFP process for shortlisted ROI parties.
The indicative contract start is October 2025.
