The New Zealand Debt Management Office (NZDMO), part of the Financial Operations, has responsibility for managing the Crown’s debt, overall cash flows and interest-bearing deposits for the Treasury, and ensuring the Treasury can accurately account and settle its Financial Markets transactions.

As detailed in the ROI, Financial Operations requires a robust ‘industry leading’ technology platform and, through this ROI process, we expect to select suppliers (a shortlist) that we believe have the capability and capacity to deliver the financial markets trade accounting and settlement services. This will be the first stage towards selecting a single external service provider who can meet our requirements that are detailed in the ROI document.
