Overview

Tararua District Council (TDC) in collaboration with the Tararua Alliance is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Supplier to provide network roadside vegetation high trimming and berm flat mowing.

The Tararua roading network has approximately 650km of high reach trimming performed throughout the year, and approximately 2,150km of berm flat mowing. Services will be provided to a Level of Service and specification as directed by the network asset manager or responsible supervisor. The benefits the Tararua District Council and the Tararua Alliance expect are -

• Enhanced Road Safety and Visibility. This helps to ensure clear sightlines for drivers, reducing the risk of accidents and improving overall road safety.
• Improved Drainage and Infrastructure Longevity. Proper vegetation control prevents blockages in drain systems and protects power lines and other road infrastructure.
• Consistent Aesthetic Appeal. This contributes to the areas visual appeal, fostering community pride and satisfaction.
• Cost Effective Maintenance. Routine maintenance is more economical than reactive work.
• Environmental Standards. Maintains environmental contract and helps to manage invasive species and unwanted flora.
