Southland District Council is seeking submissions from artists or other suitably experienced Suppliers to design, construct and install a replacement for the Colac Bay surfer statue which remains faithful to the original iconic design of a surfer riding a wave. Specific guidance relating to the design can be found below in Section 2: Our requirements.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high profile, community driven project that celebrates Colac Bay’s surf culture and heritage. The new statue will be a long-lasting legacy, supported by the CBPL. We are looking for visionary Suppliers who want to be part of something truly special.
