Selwyn Libraries is seeking proposals for the supply, implementation, and ongoing support of a modern RFID and Self‑Checkout solution across its library network.
Through this RFP, the Buyer is seeking to renew existing services and partner with a single supplier in a long‑term, collaborative relationship focused on reliable operation and continual service improvement.
We are seeking Respondents that can deliver an integrated, end‑to‑end RFID and Self‑Checkout solution across multiple library sites, including:
-Self‑checkout machines and staff circulation equipment
-Handheld inventory and shelf‑checking tools
-Circulation pads and associated peripherals
-RFID software and system components to support circulation, inventory management, system configuration, and reporting
-Services to support implementation, transition, system configuration, and staff training
-Ongoing support, maintenance, licensing, and service continuity
-RFID solutions that integrate with our Library Management System (LMS)
Respondents must demonstrate proven experience delivering RFID and self‑service solutions in public libraries or comparable environments, along with the capability to support delivery and ongoing service requirements.
The Buyer is open to hearing about new and innovative approaches. Any such approaches should align with Council values and support accessibility, inclusive service design, and Selwyn Libraries’ bicultural strategy.
