Our goal is to make the intersection and Level Rail Crossing safer, aligned with the projected traffic usage and to better cater for future growth in the area. The objective is to carryout construction within the timeframe highlighted in this tender document, minimise impact on Rolleston residents, and coordinate with the nearby construction of the new SH1 /Rolleston Drive Overpass to the east. The existing intersection has a significant number of services located under the carriageway, grass verges and rail crossing as well as overhead power services.
