atermain renewal (1,133m) replacing the existing DN300 Asbestos Cement (AC) / DN200 Cast Iron (CI) trunk main along Ranolf Street supplying the Rotorua Hospital.
The construction works are split into four separable portions (SP):
SP01 - Malfroy Road to Pererika Street (Ch 0m - Ch 450m);
SP02 - Pererika Street to Eruera Street (Ch 450m - Ch 670m);
SP03 - Eruera Street to Pukuatua Street (Ch 670m - Ch 900m); and
SP04 - Pukuatua Street to Arawa Street (Ch 900m - Ch 1,133m).
Scope Includes:
Preparation and implementation of a Quality Plan.
Setting out of proposed pipeline routes.
Assistance with confirming constructible and sound engineering renewal alignments.
Supply and installation of valves and hydrants as shown on the Drawings.
Provision of all Traffic Control during contract works.
Liaison with relevant Utility Authorities and house occupiers prior to and during investigation and protection/restoration of adjacent utility services.
Testing, disinfection and commissioning of all new reticulation.
Removal or backfilling of all abandoned hydrants, valves, markings as required.
Reinstate the ground areas.
Supply of materials, labour, plant, tools, transport and accommodation for the proper completion of the work.
Provision of "As Built" Plans, fittings and location information as per RLC specifications for Council's records.
All other work indicated, described or implied on any of the Drawings, in the General or Special Conditions of Contract, or in this Specification.
Maintenance of Works in good repair for a period of 12 months for each separable portion.
Installation of new mains & riders shall include excavation of the trench, jointing & bedding pipework, installing all required bends, tees, end caps, anchor blocks, valves, hydrants and associated surface boxes and markings, backfilling and compaction of the trench.
New tobies shall be installed and boxed outside the boundary where existing tobies are within the property boundary.
Commissioning and interconnecting the new pipe onto the existing network is to be carried out by an Approved Contractor (see Appendix 3).
