Overview

This scope of work involves the removal and decommissioning of underground petrol storage tanks and all associated infrastructure at two locations: one tank at Glendhu Bay and two tanks at Frankton Marina. The works include degassing and safely removing all residual fuel and vapours from tanks and pipework prior to excavation, followed by the excavation and removal of tanks, dispensers, vent lines, and suction/pressure lines. Tanks and components will be cleaned and decontaminated, then transported for disposal or recycling at approved facilities along with any contaminated materials. Excavated areas will be backfilled and compacted using compliant fill, and surfaces reinstated on a temporary or permanent basis as directed by QLDC.
