Through a Notice of Intent (NoI) the Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) is advising interested parties of the expected date to go to market to procure the services of a Design and Construction contractor.
QLDC seeks the services of an experienced Design and Construction for delivery of the C-26-020 – Filtration (Pre-UV) project. QLDC requires a Design and Construction contractor with demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects particularly water filtration / treatment facilities.
The project includes the following:
• Design, supply, and installation of filters and associated manifolds for each of the following Water Treatment Plant (WTP) sites
o Kelvin Heights & Two Mile (Queenstown)
o Beacon Point & Western Intake (Wanaka)
• Design and construct new buildings at Kelvin Heights, Western Intake and Beacon Point
• Design, supply, and installation of a system to provide sufficient pressure to allow effective backwashing at Kelvin Heights and Beacon Point
• Design, supply and construct the new filter controls systems
• Design, supply and construct / install air conditioning cooling for MCC systems
• Relocation of existing services where appropriate, including relocation of existing transformer and generator at Western Intake
• Upgrade the access road at Western Intake
• Design, management and control of all commissioning activities.
• Working with QLDCs nominated electrical contractor and O&M Supplier (Veolia)
