The North Wanaka Wastewater Conveyance Scheme project will address growing servicing demands in the Wanaka area and mitigate the risk of overflows from the network. The project includes the delivery of a new pump station at Beacon Point Road, associated rising and gravity mains, and upgrades to the Waimana Place wastewater pump station. The project was initially contracted for construction in late 2021; however, unexpected delays associated with the designation process have meant only minor reticulation components have been constructed to date. Following conclusion of an Environment Court process, the project is now ready to be reinitiated. Accordingly, QLDC requires an expert Project Manager with strong technical knowledge to competently and efficiently manage the project through its respective project Phases. Project reinitiation, design finalisation & preconstruction readiness, implementation of physical works and commissioning & handover.
