Overview

QLDC seeks the services of an experienced construction contractor for delivery of the Luggate Water Supply Upgrades (C-25-049) project.

QLDC requires a construction contractor with demonstrated experience in the delivery of infrastructure projects specifically water storage, conveyance, and treatment facilities.

The bores & WTP are at a separate location to the reservoir.

To meet the Taumata Arowai Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules 2022 for the Luggate Water Supply by 31st December 2025, it is expected that the two site locations will be constructed in parallel, along with the required pipe works within the road corridor.

The project team will also involve QLDC’s nominated suppliers of the Containerised UV WTP, Containerised Booster Pumpstation and the Commissioning Engineer, and it is expected that the successful tenderer will work with these nominated suppliers to connect, commission and integrate the QLDC supplied plant.

In summary, QLDC need to procure construction services to build the:

- Installation and integration of the client issued Containerised UV Water Treatment Plant (WTP),
- Work with QLDCs Containerised UV WTP Supplier and Commissioning Engineer to connect, commission and integrate the plant,
- Works including:
o Tree removal and site clearing,
o Bore commissioning,
o Bore housing construction,
o Earthworks – site formation, access road formation,
o Watermains, sewer mains, pipework and reticulation.
- Electrical and communications:
o Power supply including low voltage cables (to bore) and coordination of mains supply, transformer, and generator (with the lines company);
- Tank Farm (reservoir works)
o Siteworks, highway crossing, booster pump installation, site access and clearing, tree removals,
o Temporary tank farm construction, installation and commissioning.
o Electrical and communications.
- Access roads, fencing and landscaping;
- Mains from the water bore headworks to the water treatment plant
