Overview

The Study is to address the following key issues and be implemented over a period from the engagement of services under this agreement to a period necessary to address the key issues set out below:
1. 1 Navigational safety issues associated with cumulative effect of:
(a) The additional boats and trips to Tucker Beach sought under resource consent RM150773;
(b) The existing environment including:
(i) the environment as it might be modified by the implementation of resource consents which have been granted that provide for commercial jet boat activities on the Lower Shotover River, where it appears likely that those resource consents will be implemented or more fully implemented; and
(ii) the future state of the environment as it might be modified by the utilisation of rights to carry out permitted activity under a district plan, which may require an analysis of private users of the Lower Shotover River by both powered and passive recreational users;
(c) In undertaking an assessment of those matters set out in (a) to (b) above.
