Overview

The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand will be releasing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the implementation and ongoing support of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution with the functionality, flexibility and scalability to delivery multiple CRM based outcomes.

Respondents will have a demonstratable track record of working with organisations of our size to develop and implement an enterprise CRM that will deliver multiple business outcomes. We are seeking a collaborative approach that emphasises:
• Collaborative design and implement the enterprise CRM platform
• Knowledge transfer and internal capability uplift
• Incremental delivery starting with the Leaner Centralised Interaction Management solution
• Co design of the roadmap of other CRM initiatives to fully leverage the investment

Delivery is expected to occur in phases.
1: This initial project focuses on the selection and implementation of the core CRM platform and the associated support services

2: The next stage of the CRM roadmap (late 2026) is to develop the Centralised Interaction Management (CIM) capabilities that will provide:
. Consolidation of learner communications across multiple channels and source systems
. A single, consolidated view of communications and interaction history for staff
. Improved orchestration of communications across learner journeys
. Reduction in duplication and fragmentation across existing platforms

The CRM platform is expected to act as a system of engagement, integrating with existing enterprise systems (SMS, LMS) rather than replacing them.

Future projects (2027 onwards) will further extend and leverage the CRM for other uses cases such as; opportunity management, relationships with partner organisations.
