Ōpōtiki District Council (ODC) is inviting tenders for the following works:
(a) The construction of kerb and channel, installation of concrete and plastic stormwater reticulation, concrete and chip seal driveways and road reconstruction of:
3 x 200m sections of Goring Street [Bridge Street to King Street]; and
(b) Separable Portion 1: Supply and installation of medium sized 400m to 600mm stormwater trunk-main reticulation in Goring Street and Richard Street.
The main objective of the roading contract work is to strengthen road carriageway, improve road user safety, pedestrian safety, road stormwater capture and control and improve the general aesthetics of the immediate area; thereby lifting the esteem of the local residents.
The main objective of the Separable Portion 1 is to provide greater resilience for stormwater disposal and control, capturing overland stormwater flows, and transporting stormwater to acceptable lower lying sites for treatment and disposal.
