The contingency date for release of the RFT is January 2027.<br>The procurement is intended to be undertaken as open market competitive RFT that is evaluated by means of price quality method (PQM).<br><br>The Opportunity<br>The contract itself will comprise civil and general physical works associated with the upgrade of WWPS01, along with working alongside and assisting with co-ordination and collaboration of Ōpōtiki District Councils separate contractors for mechanical and electrical.<br>The successful contractor will require relevant civil infrastructure and live wastewater construction capability and the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with the principal, engineer and separate contractors involved in delivery of the pump station upgrade.<br>The successful contractor must have experience in sheet piling, de-watering, construction staging, sequencing and proven ability in water pump stations.<br>A mandatory tender briefing/site visit is anticipated as part of the formal tender process.<br><br>Important Notice <br>This notice is provided for advance information only and does not constitute a request for tender, an invitation to submit an offer, or a commitment by Ōpōtiki District Council to proceed with the procurement within the indicative timeframes stated above.<br>All timings are indicative and may be subject to change. When the detour is in operation the<br>route carries diverted state highway traffic, including heavy freight, on a rural road network formed for<br>local access. Verrall Road normally carries approximately 80 vehicles per day and Waiotahe Valley Back<br>Road approximately 93.<br>WSP’s Waiotahe Bluffs Detour Improvement Scope (WSP ref 2-34005.C2) identified substandard<br>carriageway width through curves and constrained sections of the route. The objective of this contract<br>is to widen those sections to a carriageway width that safely accommodates diverted state highway<br>traffic, including two heavy vehicles passing, and to improve sightlines through the curves and at the<br>Verrall Road / Paerata Ridge Road intersection.<br>The Ōpōtiki District Council has a quality driven approach to its construction projects. In keeping with<br>this philosophy, Contractors are expected to achieve the highest standard of performance on all aspects<br>of this project.
