Overview
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and equipped contractors for undertaking geotechnical investigations and producing a factual report in the surf zone of the Opotiki Harbour Development project. The scope of works includes drilling and testing of sediments with drill holes and cone penetrometer tests up to 30 metres in depth below the seabed. Water depth varies from 0 to 5 metres. The factual report is required to provide information for the design of training walls, in particular foundations, and to enable dredging operations to be planned. A minimum of 12 rotary cored bores and 20 CPT tests are required over an area approximately 400m x 180 m.
