Waka Kotahi is proposing to create a panel of New Zealand based suppliers for the purchase and supply of Variable Message Signs (VMS), Lane Carriageway Signals (LCS) and other electronic signs. These will include, but not be limited to, Motorway signs, Regional signs, Lane Control Signals (LCS) and Estimated Journey Time (EJT) signs.

The intention is to create a source for these electronic signs for all Waka Kotahi projects such as capital works, asset maintenance renewals and regional projects. The panel will be formed following a tender process.

In September 2021 Waka Kotahi undertook an industry consultation around this process and thank the suppliers for their input.

To ensure all interested parties have sufficient time to prepare to meet the tender requirements we are issuing this advance notice with an intended RFP release in early May.
