New Zealand Police is seeking proposals for an interim Financial Planning Tool (FPT) and associated implementation and support services.
The solution will improve and automate budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, reducing reliance on spreadsheet-based processes and improving the quality, consistency and auditability of financial information. The tool will initially support approximately 30 Finance Users and provide capabilities including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, driver-based planning, workforce planning and reporting.
Police are seeking to purchase an off-the-shelf software package, which will either be hosted in a Police cloud environment or virtualised on-premises option, which can be managed by Finance and deployed to a limited user group of approximately 30 Finance staff.
This is an interim solution designed to integrate with both current and future Police financial systems using asynchronous, loosely coupled, and event-driven integration patterns.
Implementation is required by May 2027.
