The project will provide additional workspace and supporting infrastructure to enable the station to better accommodate current and future staffing requirements.
The Whangārei project involves refurbishment works within the existing Walton Plaza Police Hub tenancy, including improvements to staff amenities and operational support spaces. The project will deliver upgraded bathroom, locker and changing facilities to better support frontline staff and improve the functionality of the existing workplace environment.
Whilst separate Minor Works Contracts will be executed for each project, NZ Police intends to appoint a single Main Contractor to deliver both projects.
