Papakura Chiller Replacement

This Request for Tender (RFT) is an invitation to suitably qualified suppliers to submit a Tender for the main construction contractor services contract opportunity for the decommissioning and replacement of the current air-cooled water chiller and gas fired boiler with a new air-cooled 4-pipe simultaneous heating and cooling chiller. Installation of new buffer tanks and upgrade of water circulation pumps, zone reheat water coils and reconfiguration of AHU heating coils.

The Carrier 350kW air cooled water chiller unit at Papakura Police Station is close to failure and operating at reduced capacity and is expected to fail in the near future. The detailed design work has been carried out for a replacement chiller with the unit being purchased by NZ Police and is now in storage. NZ Police seeks to appoint a contractor to disconnect, remove and dispose the existing chiller unit and Ygnis 300kW gas-fired hot water boiler, (Liaison with Shammon Air is required at least two weeks in advance for delivery of unit to site), connect and commission the replacement 350kW air-cooled 4-pipe simultaneous cooling and heating chiller, along with new chilled water and heating water buffer tanks, supply and install new 40kW DHW heat pump, and to make good of the area.
