The National Property Office (NPO) within NZ Police has established a Custody Infrastructure Programme of works to address Health and Safety remediation works required across its national portfolio of custodial facilities. NZ Police is seeking a main contractor to help deliver this programme. This will be a multi-year programme.

The initial contract term will be for 2 years with two rights of renewal (2+2+1).

Respondents are expected to meet and provide evidence (where required) of the following pre-conditions:
a) Respondent has the appropriate level of Public liability, statory liability, Motor vehicle and professional indemnity Insurances in place.
b) Respondent understand and agree to ROI process and T&C’s
c) Respondent must provide evidence of the financial viability and sustainability of their organisation
d) Respondent must have an established and robust national supply chain / base with New Zealand
e) Respondent must have an established account management structure already in place within New Zealand
f) Agree to sign a confidentiality deed prior to receiving the RFT documentation
g) Respondent has experience of working within a custodial operational environment
h) Respondent has completed H&S information / provided a copy of their H&S policy

NZ Police intends to select between 3 – 5 suppliers for the RFT stage. However, this may be amended, depending upon the number and quality of the responses received.

THE ROI WILL BE RELEASED ON 26 May 2022 and the deadline for responses will be 5pm 14 June. The ROI documentation can be requested by emailing NZ Police at the following email address - tenders.national@police.govt.nz

Responses that are uploaded to GETS, faxed or sent as hard copy will not be evaluated.

NZ Police will be contracting under a standard NZ construction contract.
