New Zealand Police have an opportunity to improve the way that infringement processing takes place. The current IT system does not support effective interaction with the public, places unnecessary administrative burden on the infringement payment process, and limits the ability to implement new camera capabilities. This impacts on public trust and confidence and results in unnecessary work for the Ministry of Justice, which enforces the payment of unpaid fees. This project will seek to replace the infringement processing system with a new solution that will remove current manual processing constraints and offer the opportunity to broaden the infringement processing service for new capabilities and customers. It is dependent on Government decision on ownership of this capability (Police/NZTA).
This is a Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO) listing in line with MBIE's recent direction to list FPOs on here rather than in the usual APP format on their site. Any future RFx documentation will be posted on GETS linked to this FPO if and when appropriate. There is no additional information available at this time.
