The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) is inviting submissions of ROIs to carry out repairs to the above mentioned concrete wharf structures at the Devonport Naval Base. The majority of the repairs will be to the underside of the Training Jetty structure with some repairs also being carried out to the underside of Calliope East, Central and West Wharves above a service walkway.
The repairs will generally involve:
> the removal of spalling concrete
> the exposure and replacement of corroded reinforcement
> the reinstatement of the concrete cover to match the existing member profile
These repairs will be to a number of the transverse beams, pile caps, vertical piles and raker piles along the length of the Training Jetty structure and a number of the transverse beams of the Calliope East, Central and West Wharves.
