The Devonport Small Boats Facility (DSBF) is a priority investment that is part of the Future Naval Base (FNB) programme that is designed to regenerate and modernise the Devonport Naval Base (DNB). The DSBF is critical to restore essential operational infrastructure for RNZN’s small-boat capability.

The project will provide a modern, secure, and fit-for-purpose facility that supports Royal New Zealand Navy small boat operations, including:
• Enclosed storage for 28 small boats.
• Equipment and operational storage facilities.
• Compliant washdown facilities.
• Operational maintenance workshop facilities.
• Administration, briefing, training, and amenity spaces.
• Defence-compliant security and access control systems.
• Launch and recovery infrastructure.
• Replacement of the existing seawall and associated shoreline protection works.
