Forward Aviation Refuelling System (fars)

Details

The objective of this procurement is to procure a certified deployable fuel delivery system which is capable of simultaneously refuelling two helicopters to conduct a combined 12 flying hour (i.e. six hours per aircraft) Rate of Effort (RoE) over a 24 hour period.

The FARS is envisaged to be comprised of a number (6-8) of flexible fuel bladder tanks, one or two pump units, one or two filter units, a quantity of interconnecting hoses, and a quantity of bunding in which the FARS equipment and bladders are placed to prevent ground contamination in the event of spillage; together with associated spares and consumables and any specialist tools and support/test equipment required for maintenance and support of the FARS.

Quantities and technical requirements will be specified in the tender document. It is envisaged that the contract will be in the form of Purchase Order with associated Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions will form part of the tender documentation.
