Strategic Sourcing Consultancy Limited (SSCL), on behalf of the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), is reviewing the supply chain for Class 8 consumables and wishes to engage with the Medical Supplies market in New Zealand to establish the characteristics of a supply chain that would optimise: security of supply; NZDF stock holding; distribution efficiency; replenishment process efficiency; and minimise total cost of ownership.
The Request for Information (RFI) seeks information from suppliers about their products and/or services to support the supply of Class 8 Consumables to the NZDF. The intent is to confirm, or otherwise, the capacity and capability of New Zealand based suppliers in the provision of either Third Party Logistics (3PL) or Fourth Party Logistics (4PL) support to the NZDF to industry-recognised practice.
This information will then be used to inform a Single Stage Business Case for consideration by the NZDF leading to a tender process for services. While the timeline for this has not been defined, it is expected in the fourth quarter of 2021.
This RFI is specifically aimed at the provision of Class 8 consumables to the NZDF through a 3PL or 4PL arrangement.
All enquiries regarding the RFI must be in writing and directed to the contact person listed in the RFI with the subject line “Class 8 Consumables RFI Question”.
Questions are encouraged and you may request that they are kept confidential providing that they are commercially sensitive. SSCL reserves the right to provide supplementary information to all Tenderers should a confidential question highlight a point requiring clarification to other Tenderers.
