Overview

New Zealand Defence Force have a requirement to replace its cooled MW (mid-wave) Infrared Camera and is seeking potential Suppliers who would be interested in satisfying this demand.

The infrared camera requires:

• Ability to capture imagery over the 1.5 to 5 µm waveband with minimum resolution of 256 x 256 (pixels).
• Ability to simultaneously capture four image channels using standard 1” optical filters.
• Framerate of 100 Hz minimum (all channels combined) along with software to control all functions of the camera and allow export of imagery files to facilitate radiometric calculations using external software, (preferably with MATLAB import functions).
• Together with 100 mm or greater focal-length lens of a material suitable for the 1.5 to 5 µm waveband, OR mounting able to accept pre-existing bayonet mount 100 mm lens (Janos Technology ‘Nyctea’).
