BOARDING PARTY TACTICAL ENSEMBLE (INCLUDING PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE)

The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) are seeking to procure a tactical load ensemble, comprising load carriage, body armour and an inbuilt Personal Flotation Device (PFD) for personnel involved in boarding activities, in order to enhance safety whilst conducting maritime operations in a variety of environments.

The key objectives of this procurement is to secure a PFD with greater ISO compliance, particularly with regard to in-water performance, combined with body armour and a load carriage solution for the unique requirements of Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) boarding parties. The ensemble may also be used by NZ Army boat crews during small boat operations.
