The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) and Ministry of Defence (MoD) collectively "Defence" jointly undertake portfolio prioritisation (at enterprise (e.g. Defence White Paper) and sub portfolio levels) and option selection (within major capability acquisition projects).
The process used has been a multi criteria decision analysis facilitated by a contractor using proprietary software. The levels of portfolio prioritisation vary from involvement of managers and subject matter experts through to senior leadership of both NZDF and MoD.
The Defence requirement is for proposals about how the respondents would be able to support portfolio prioritisation and project option selection services.
