This New Plymouth District Council tender will be accessible via Tenderlink, and is only being advertised via GETS. All further communications related to this tender will be conducted through TenderLink.
New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) is seeking an experienced consultancy firm with expertise in
strategic transport planning, land-use and transport scenario assessment to undertake the Second
Waiwhakaiho Crossing and Smart Road Future Urban Zone (FUZ) Trigger-Based Feasibility Study.
We require the successful consultant to provide a focused, decision-led feasibility assessment that
identifies how growth within the Smart Road FUZ may affect SH3 and the wider local transport network,
when transport interventions may be required, and the evidence-based triggers for progressing future
investigation, funding or delivery.
A Second Waiwhakaiho River crossing is to be considered as one potential future intervention, and only
progressed where the assessment demonstrates that it is likely to be required. Council will assess proposed
deliverables and value for money compared with alternative staged interventions.
To be able to participate in this tender and access the RFX documents, providers will need to ensure they are registered on TenderLink.
