Advance Notification to Market: New Plymouth District Council advises that an Open Request for Proposal (RFP) will be released in the coming days for the Aquatics Centre Non-Slip Flooring Replacement Project.

NPDC is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake the supply and installation of non-slip flooring within the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre. The project will involve the replacement of existing flooring surfaces within an operational aquatic facility and will require careful planning, coordination, and delivery to ensure the continued safe operation of the facility while minimising disruption. Tenderers must demonstrate relevant experience delivering similar works in large-scale public or commercial aquatic facilities. Experience limited to residential swimming pools will not be considered sufficient for this opportunity.

As part of the procurement process, a mandatory site visit will be conducted. Interested suppliers are encouraged to register their attendance as soon as possible.

Mandatory Site Visit Information
• Potential respondents are required to attend a mandatory site visit. If you are planning to attend, please email procurementadmin@npdc.govt.nz with the names of attendees and the number of people attending from your organisation.
• Site visits will be held on 27 October 2026 and 28 October 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre, New Plymouth.
• Respondents are required to attend one session only. Attendance at both sessions is not necessary.
• Attendance at the site visit is mandatory. Suppliers who do not attend either scheduled session will be ineligible to submit a tender response, and any submission received from a non-attending supplier may be excluded from further consideration.

Contractors interested in tendering are encouraged to ensure they are registered with NPDC on Tenderlink (https://www.tenderlink.com/npdc/). All tender documentation and further information regarding this opportunity will be made available through Tenderlink once the RFP is released.
This advance notification is intended to provide interested suppliers with early visibility of the upcoming opportunity and sufficient notice to arrange attendance at the mandatory site visit
