This New Plymouth District Council tender will be accessible via Tenderlink, and is only being advertised via GETS. All further communications related to this tender will be conducted through TenderLink.
New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified civil construction contractor to deliver the Patterson Road Extension Phase 4B project, comprising the construction of stormwater infrastructure, a large in-stream box culvert, retaining wall structures, earthworks, and a new road extension.
The successful contractor will provide end-to-end construction services to enable the delivery of critical growth infrastructure that supports future residential development within the Patterson Road Growth Area. A key feature of this project is the challenging topography, with sections of the new road reaching gradients of 17%. This project requires specialist expertise in pavement construction, earthworks management, drainage and temporary works that will incorporate safe construction practices.
Our objectives are to:
-Deliver the works safely while managing the risks associated with construction and the protection of the existing critical infrastructure and services.
-Construct high-quality stormwater, culvert and roading assets that perform effectively in a challenging topographical environment.
-Provide network resilience and long-term asset performance within the growth area.
- Enable future residential development through the delivery of essential transport and stormwater infrastructure.
-Minimise impacts on neighbouring properties and stakeholders through proactive planning and construction -Deliver the project within the approved budget and programme while maintaining exemplary standards of health, safety, environmental management and quality assurance..
