New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) is seeking this information in conjunction with the Taranaki Regional Council. We are requesting qualified businesses to submit information regarding their capabilities and indicative costs associated with producing a comprehensive professional coastal structures survey solution.
We are interested in learning about how you would manage technical risks, maintenance requirements, intervention requirements, and cultural and public stakeholder input requirements. The Taranaki Coast is a dynamic west coast foreshore that includes important Kaimoana gathering & surfing reefs located within proximity of sites and areas of significance to Māori. There are coastal structures located close to some of these sites and understanding the coastal processes better by having a best practice survey review is important.
Effects on tangata whenua and heritage, visual landscape, the natural environment, wildlife, climate change, significant kaimoana gathering areas, surf areas, property, and adjacent landowners will all be factors that we need to address in a Professional Coastal Structures Survey Review Report.
