Overview

New Plymouth District Council requires professional services for the creation of a set of guidelines for the design of stormwater infrastructure within the New Plymouth district.
The New Plymouth District Council has co-created with Iwi a Stormwater Vision and Roadmap vision for the improvement of stormwater service delivery in our district. Our Vision and Roadmap establish the components that will be required over the 2024-2034 period to achieve desired outcomes. An important component of this work is the creation of stormwater design guidelines.
The successful respondent will need to:
• Effectively and proactively collaborate with NPDC staff
• Determine New Plymouth District stormwater design requirements
• Compile a NPDC Stormwater Design Guideline. The NPDC Stormwater Design Guideline will include New Plymouth District specific stormwater design requirements and reference other relevant existing guidance as required to generate a complete NPDC Guideline drawing on existing best-practice guidance.
New Plymouth District Council is seeking a Consultant to deliver the scope of work outlined in Section 2 managed through one point of contact.
Of high importance to New Plymouth District Council are the stormwater skills, experience and knowledge the Respondent can provide. Equally of importance is the methodology the Respondent proposes to utilise to deliver the required outputs. Retention of all technical files by NPDC (i.e. retention of Intellectual Property) is also important to us.
The successful service provider must be able to collaborate with NPDC and its stakeholders to understand the gaps and needs for specific guidelines and where relevant existing guidelines are applicable.
