New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) is seeking an agent with expertise in developing and delivering comprehensive naming rights and sponsorship strategies for major public venues to provide a commercially viable, precinct‑wide naming rights and sponsorship programme. This programme is needed in order to maximise sponsorship value, generate new revenue streams, and strengthen long-term community, cultural, and economic outcomes across NPDC’s key venues.
Our overall objectives include
• Securing high‑value, fit‑for‑purpose naming rights partnerships for Stadium Taranaki, Bowl of Brooklands, the under-construction sport arena of the Tūparikino Hub, and other NPDC assets.
• Ensuring sponsorship outcomes align with NPDC’s strategic priorities, cultural values, and community wellbeing objectives.
• Establishing a coordinated, precinct‑wide commercial strategy informed by market benchmarking and best‑practice sponsorship modelling.
• Delivering measurable commercial, social, cultural and economic benefits, including activation opportunities that support both sponsors and the wider community.
• Creating a sustainable, long-term framework that enhances venue visibility, utilisation, and financial resilience.
