This tender opportunity is for providers who are able to develop and deliver standalone, 2 hour long, skills-based workshops focused on preventing sexual violence and child sexual abuse across four regions: Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, and Hawke’s Bay.
These workshops can be delivered in trusted community settings such as Early Childhood Education (ECE) centres, Playcentres, Kōhanga Reo, Kindergartens, churches, and other whānau based gathering places.
We want the workshops to equip parents and caregivers of ECE aged children with the knowledge, skills and confidence that research shows make children safer from sexual violence.

Invited providers will have received an invitation from MSD's Supplier Portal, Weka. Proposals must be submitted through Weka, unless agreed otherwise with our point of contact BEFORE the Deadline for Submissions (2:00pm, Thursday 30th April).

Further Award Information:
From July 2026, MSD will invest $1.7 million over 12 months to deliver a new primary prevention initiative that supports parents and caregivers to keep tamariki safe from sexual violence.
The initiative will deliver community-based sexual violence and child sexual abuse prevention workshops across Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, and Hawke’s Bay, reaching whānau early in children’s lives.
This initiative complements ACC’s ‘Little Matters’ primary prevention campaign, which similarly focuses on empowering parents and other adults closest to children to take everyday actions that help prevent sexual violence and child sexual abuse.
By focusing on parents and caregivers of young children, this initiative supports early intervention, helping to prevent harm before it occurs.
This investment reflects MSD’s ongoing commitment to strengthening prevention and early intervention across the sexual violence system, and to supporting whānau to keep tamariki safe.
