Overview

Disability Support Services (DSS), a business unit within the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) is looking for a provider who can deliver the CIP throughout Aotearoa New Zealand to eligible recipients with severe to profound hearing loss. The CIP is a comprehensive whole of life service that involves cochlear implant (CI) assessment, CI surgery, audiology services, re/habilitation services, provision and management of CI devices, and ongoing maintenance and support for recipients.
Alongside the provision of clear leadership, coordination, budget and professional expertise, the provider must demonstrate a person-centred approach which focuses on the needs of the person and their family/whānau.

The proposed initial contract term is 5 years with an optional renewal of 5 years years (10 years in total) and a proposed start date of 1 July 2026.
