Overview

MSD is seeking proposals to be submitted that are aimed at assisting clients to overcome barriers, support them to fill skills gaps for their chosen industry and achieve and retain sustainable employment.
The service will focus on the following cohorts and will be delivered to clients from all Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) service delivery sites in the Auckland Region. Referrals for people not in receipt of an MSD benefit may be considered for this service.
Providers will identify participants from their own networks as well as receiving referrals from the Ministry.
Cohorts this service focuses on are:
o Māori
o Pacific people
o Females
o People with children
o Youth (aged 18 – 24 years)
o People 25 years+
o People with health conditions, injuries and disabilities (HCID)
o People from ethnic migrant communities
Proposals need to identify which cohort(s) the Provider will deliver services to, and to which locations in Auckland.
The following outcomes will be achieved:
o 95% of participants will successfully complete the service
o 50% of jobseeker HCID participants will gain employment commensurate with their work obligations. Those without obligations will achieve 15 hours pw employment
o 80% of other cohorts will achieve full time employment or employment that results in a benefit exit as a result of employment
And of those placed into employment the following will be achieved:
o 80% of clients will remain in employment for 31 days
o 70% remain in employment and off benefit for 182 days
